In 2012, owner Sue Lorincz, brought Healing Palms Massge Therapy to Towne Lake Family Chiropractic. Working together with other healthcare professionals since 2000, it was a natural fit to work hand in hand with the the onsite chiropractors to provide an additional route for alternative healing. Since then, Healing Palms has grown to offer a diverse array of therapuetic massage services from deeper bodywork to soothing treatments aimed at calming the mind and body. All of our staff are master level therapists and provide an individualized experience to aide you in your healthcare goals.
What we Offer
Signature Massage
The Healing Palms signature massage is a combination of the Swedish technique, deep tissue work, trigger point therapy and stretching. We customize the best form of massage to fit our clients.
Sweedish Massage
The Swedish massage uses light to medium pressure and aims to hasten the return of the blood from the extremities back to the heart. It is designed in such a way that the muscles relax by applying pressure to them while simultaneously rubbing in the same direction as the blood flow back to your blood pump.
Hot Stone Massage
Hot stone massage is a specialty technique that uses smooth, heated stones to relax tight muscles. The stones are often basalt, a black volcanic rock that absorbs and retains heat well. The heat helps tight muscles release so the therapist may work deeper into the muscle without the client leaving sore.
Deep Tissue Massage
When there is chronic muscle tension or injury, there are usually adhesions (bands of painful, rigid tissue) in muscles, tendons, and ligaments., causing pain, limited movement, and inflammation.
To physically break down these adhesions, the massage therapist often uses direct deep pressure or friction applied across the grain of the muscles.
Cupping Massage
The use of cupping massage is safe, comfortable, and effective or those will health issues, particularly chronic pain. Where traditional massage uses compression for muscle release, cupping massage uses silicone or glass cups to suction to your skin. This suction increases blood flow which causes welts on the skin. This process breaks down trigger points and myofascial strains in the body. Cupping massage not only feels good but also engages the parasympathetic nervous system causing deep relaxation for the patient.
